Mark Hilbert, Chapman University trustee and founder of Chapman’s Hilbert Museum of California Art, was feted on his 75thbirthday by a crowd of nearly 200 friends and family. Mark and his wife Janetenjoyed the Art Deco-inspired party ambiance surrounded by the masterful paintings in the museum’s current major exhibition, “GIFTED: Collecting the Art of California at Gardena High School, 1919-1956.” Guests included Irvine Museum director emeritus Jean Sternand his wife Linda; noted artist Bradford J. Salamonand his wife Kathy; Elaine Adams,executive director and CEO of the California Art Club; California art expert and curator Gordon McClelland;Chapman emeritus trustees Doy Henley, Don Sodaroand David C.
